Feed The Forgotten Ones

with Da’wah Man

There is no better way to describe these three communities. The world has turned a blind eye as if these crises don’t exist. But we haven’t forgotten them and will never forget them. People of Afghanistan, Rohingya Refugee Camps and Muslims facing persecution, discrimination and harassment in Sri Lanka are all in our Duas and thoughts. Through this appeal, we aim to raise funds to provide life-saving food aid for them. Donate generously and help us provide food for thousands of families living on the edge of life and death battles due to food shortages.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Humanity Care Relief to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Humanity Care Relief we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Humanity Care Relief to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Humanity Care Relief will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Humanity Care Relief receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Afghanistan Food Appeal

Afghan children are battling malnutrition and measles as 23m face extreme hunger – UN

Since Kabul fell to the Taliban and they retook control of Afghanistan. During that time, the economy has been in free fall and overwhelming the medical system, which has struggled to cope with the spread of Covid. Hunger is everywhere. Millions are at risk of starvation. Through our Afghanistan Emergency Appeal, we have been supporting hundreds of Afghan families.

During winter we provided clothing, shelter and food for over 200 families and in Ramadan, we helped over 500 families with food and financial aid. Donate generously and help us provide life-saving food for Afghan families in Afghanistan and living on the Pak-Afghan borders.

£40 will provide food for a family in Afghanistan

Feed the Muslims in Sri Lanka

On March 13 2021, Sri Lanka’s minister of public security announced that the government will ban the wearing of the burqa and close more than 1,000 Islamic schools in the country.

The minister was quoted as saying that “the burqa is a sign of religious extremism and has a direct impact on national security”.

Since these announcements, the lives of nearly two million Muslims in Sri Lanka have been made hell. Many parts of the country have seen anti-Muslim violence and in some cases, mobs have killed many innocent Muslims. Donate generously towards our appeal and help us save the Muslims in Sri Lanka.

Donate generously and help us provide life-saving food for Sri Lankan Muslim families.

Give the gift of food to a Sri Lankan Muslim family – £40

Rohingya Food Appeal

All their life Rohingya Muslims have faced violence, persecution, and hatred. As a citizen, they were never accepted by Burma and when they fled from the violence in 2017 no other neighbouring country was willing to offer them an adequate refugee. This crisis is completely manmade and there is only one party to blame and that is Myanmar Government & Military.

Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us the chance to help our Rohingya brothers & sisters. We help around 200 families throughout the year but this is not enough, especially right now food shortages and price hikes have taken over 1 million Rohingya Muslims on the edge of starvation. Donate generously and help us provide life-saving food for Sri Lankan Muslim families.

Feed a Rohingya Family in the times of need – £40

Why donate to ‘The Forgotten Ones’ appeal?

We know the times are tough but Alhamdulillah, we still have food to eat and clean water to drink. However, our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan, Rohingya Refugee Camps and Sri Lanka literally do not have food to eat and clean water to drink. All three of these communities have been facing persecution, hate and harassment for decades. They are waiting for our support and as Muslims, it is our duty to take care of them.

Donate generously towards ‘the forgotten ones appeal’ and help provide life-saving food aid for our brothers & sisters in need.

Virtues of Feeding the Hungry

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said in a hadeeth Qudsi: “O son of Adam I was hungry and you did not feed me,” the slave will say; “O Allah you are lord of the worlds,” Allah replies to him: “My slave so and so was hungry and you did not feed him, had you fed him you would have found me with him…

Let’s not be negligent towards the rights these poor and oppressed people have over us. Let us hope for our reward from Allah and donate as much as we can.

One food parcel costs £40, please donate one for each community, if you cannot then donate whatever you can.

May Allah accept your kindness and repay you in this life and the next. Ameen
