Muslim Funeral Committee

Are you looking to join a funeral committee? If the answer is yes then you are at the right place.

HCR Funeral Committee has been set up to help Muslim individuals and families cover the cost of the funeral and burial of their loved ones.

This is from the types of co-operative insurance which Islamic Fiqh encourages.

Through such activities, we as a Muslim community, benefit and cooperate with each other through our times of need. This is in line with the saying of Allah,

…and help one another in goodness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and aggression [05:02]

Benefits of joining Muslim Funeral Committee

  • The Funeral Committee will cover the cost of a basic coffin, graveyard fees & transport cost to the local graveyard (up to a maximum of £5,000). This is restricted to UK based deaths and burials.
  • Please note, the Funeral Committee will not cover the costs of flowers, decorations, gravestones, food, condolences or gatherings.
  • The fees paid by a member covers the member as well as any dependants under the age of 16.
  • There are other internal admin costs, however, Humanity Care Relief will cover such costs and charges as this service is in the spirit of community relief and cooperation upon Taqwa.
  • The Funeral Committee is overseen by qualified students of knowledge, who will ensure all services are in line with Islamic ethics.
