With regular droughts and floods, the worst affected are often the poorest areas. Some of them are driven further into poverty, forced in to begging and selling their daughters. In Pakistan people struggle to buy subsidised flour due to its high price and shortages within the country. Many people across Pakistan have gone without food and are struggling to cope with a severe shortage of affordable wheat and flour. The flood-affected areas are by far the worst, where slums have appeared and severely malnourished children are dying on a daily basis therefore at humanity care relief we decided to start food parcels for Pakistan project so we can tackle the hunger and starvation together.
