Gaza Water Appeal

With Ilm Disciples

As one of the most densely populated places on Earth, the people of Gaza desperately need access to clean, safe drinking water. Save and improve the lives of those in urgent need.

The shortage of water in the Gaza Strip and the substandard quality of tap water have been known for years. Coastal aquifers are the only means by which people of Gaza can drink clean water. This process cost around £100 per tanker.

Insha’Allah we are aiming to fund clean drinking water tankers for our Gazan brothers & sisters on regular basis, but we need your support.

Your support will help us save and improve the lives of people living in desperate conditions. It will relieve a burden upon their shoulders and ease their daily lives, dramatically reducing the risk of dehydration and disease.

Give the gift of water to a Palestinian on behalf of your loved one.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Humanity Care Relief to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Humanity Care Relief we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Humanity Care Relief to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Humanity Care Relief will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Humanity Care Relief receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Gaza Right Now

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes and are in desperate need of food, water, shelter and medical care. Up to 485,000 people urgently need food aid; 1.5 million people have no or very limited access to water or sanitation, and over 65,000 people are now homeless after their homes were severely damaged or destroyed.

Life In Gaza

Gaza is an open-air prison for over 2 million people. From all three means of travel air, land & sea, Gaza is blocked by Israel. There is no local ecomony thus no job or business opportunity, and over 80% of its population is dependant on foreign aid.

This current war will throw the people of Gaza into further poverty. As Muslims, it is our duty to help our brothers & sisters in Gaza during these times.

Allah says: “Verily this ummah of yours is one ummah and I am your Lord so worship Me.” (21:92)

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” (Sahih Muslim)
